Where Are They Now?
While in school, Hillel students excel academically, with many winning major scholastic awards. But what happens after they leave us? A full 100% of Hillel graduates continue their studies in college and/or yeshiva.
Many are accepted by Ivy League schools, and many attend such prestigious programs as the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania; the Carnegie Mellon University School of Art; M.I.T. Graduate School; and Yeshiva University Rabbinical School
The vast majority of our graduates opt to spend a year studying in Israel before continuing at a college or university.
Several have been ordained as rabbis, in addition to earning degrees in other fields of study.
Approximately 50% of Hillel graduates complete post-graduate work, many earning Doctorate degrees.
Our graduates enter professional fields ranging from the rabbinate to medicine. We have among our alumni: artists, architects, lawyers, judges, nurses, dentists, doctors, social workers, therapists, scientists, engineers, accountants, financial analysts, business owners, management consultants, journalists, public relations executives, urban planners, and educators (including college professors and the Provost of Harvard University).
Our graduates are among the most active members of their Jewish communities, serving as rabbis, lay professionals and Jewish activists. Several, in fact, have gone on to found Jewish day schools in their new hometowns.
Perhaps the best testimony to Hillel’s excellence is the vote of confidence by alumni. Not only do Hillel graduates provide generous financial support to the school and dedicate themselves as leaders, but they "donate" their most precious resource to the school: their children. By choosing to enroll their own children in Hillel Academy, alumni make a profound statement about the excellence of the education they received.
