Enrichment
Hillel offers an array of special learning opportunities developed to enhance classroom learning. Enrichment options have included:
- Participation in the National Engineers Week Future City Competition, in cooperation with the Carnegie Science Center; the effort involves hands-on computer training, as well as reasoning in math and science, toward designing a city of the future on computer.
- Art enrichment, under the guidance of trained artists and art teachers.
- Dance instruction under the guidance of a professionally-trained dancer.
- Gam Chai Chesed Program
- Bi-Annual major theatrical production by our high school
- Computer Club activities with a wide variety of educational software.
- Participation in Yeshiva University’s Model United Nations program, whereby students gain insight into global issues and policies by representing the needs and issues of a country assigned to them.
- Supervised participation in poetry and writing contests.
- Competition in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science competition.
- Involvement in the national Math Olympiad, which teaches students creative and innovative problem-solving techniques.
- Athletic leagues, including Varsity Basketball.
- Elected student leaders (Student Council) for Junior High, and the Girls High School.

- Membership in a Bas Mitzvah Club, offering educational and social opportunities to girls in 6th and 7th grade.
- Involvement in organized volunteer and community service programs sponsored throughout the community.
